MAGICAL PRACTICES - HISTORY AND PRESENT (ON THE BASE OF THE CHURCH LAW MISCELLANIES
Abstract
The article deals with some popular beliefs, especially with these ones related to the magical healing and the theft of grain in the purpose of making evil to other person. The material upon which it relies is taken from different Slavonic Canon Law miscellanies and investigated in historical aspect. In this way, one can complete the relationship between the folklore and the ancient literature by putting into practice some new and poorly known written sources.
