Abstract
Изследването е посветено на взаимоотношенията между
християни и мюсюлмани в София през бурния ХVІ век. Привлечени са множество
извори, които ясно очертават етно-религиозната картина и тенденциите в нея. На
този фон е очертана ролята на Църквата и конкретно на софийските мъченици (св.
Георги Нови, св. Георги Най-нови и св. Николай Нови) за овладяването на кризата в
християнската общност през този период.
